Confined Water

Your PADI instructor will take you to a swimming pool or shallow water training area for your skill development sessions. This will help your self-rescue abilities as well broaden your awareness of other divers so you can aid in preventing and responding to various diving emergencies. These sessions will include 10 exercises over the course period and will include the following:

  • Self-Rescue Abilities
  • Recognition and management of stress in other divers
  • Managing emergencies and handling emergency equipment
  • Reacting to diver emergencies in and out of the water
  • Responding to panicked and unresponsive divers

Open Water Dives

Your PADI diving instructor will then take you out into open water where you will repeat the skills you have mastered during the confined water sessions.
