Our standard Divemaster program is run as an internship so not only do you complete the standard PADI Divemaster course, but you will also receive ‘real world’ experience.
You will also learn all aspects of the running of a dive shop including compressor use and maintenance, customer service, logistics, other non diving trips that we run, and of course the most important thing – Diving!
Our philosophy and facilities mean that we can provide you with a personalised program, so if you don’t like something, or you are more interested in something else we can tailor your program to allow this (apart from where PADI standards dictate).
For the duration of your Divemaster course you will have a mentor to guide you through your training, but you will also work with all members of our instructional team and see different view points, and learn different things from different people. Everyone is different so we train to your schedule. We have options for you depending on your time scale. Our prices are not based on time or number of dives. You can either do it quickly or take as long as you want. The Divemaster course has a minimum required number of dives (40) which can be gathered quickly. You can do daily beach dives to log up your dives.
So, what is a typical day like during our Internship, well that depends a little on what is happening that day. Most days we will start work at 7.00am and finish probably around 6.00pm, or possibly later if we have a night dive etc. These early start days are diving days so we begin with preparing the boats: loading tanks, safety equipment, helping customers with equipment sizing and paperwork, etc.
We work closely with two conservation organisations Sea Guardian Koh Phangan and CoreSea. There are plenty of opportunities to help the underwater world we love.
